seNoi is a musical investigation about the topics of noise, data, privacy, and surveillance, together with Maya Verlaak.
At its core is a custom-built instrument composed of four doors and a set of rotary controllers. The doors, made with materials offering different degrees of transparency and concealment, symbolize varying levels of access to personal information. Their manipulation triggers and transforms a collection of multilingual interviews about digital life, social media, and data collection. Through the instrument, voices are transformed into multiple manifestations of noise, from acoustic phenomena to critical thought, inviting audiences to consider how information is revealed, concealed, accessed, and controlled.
